（1）We have seen an evolution of decision-making processes over the years.
（2）There is flexibility in existing regulations that allows for the inclusion of sustainability.
（3）We need realistic models and timeframes in which to study sustainability.
（4）Frequent and effective communication with stakeholders is of utmost importance.
（5）We must weigh the value of limited environmental resources in the context of site remediation decisions.
