1.10 years ago, ALGA was born from a dream to provide an identity for the contamination and remediation industry. ALGA intended to provide a forum to network, exchange knowledge and promote its vision and ideas to the wider society. Our membership was modest, and in the first years our budget was modest too.
2.We’ve come a long way since those early days. Thanks to our members, ALGA is a force to reckon within the remediation industry. Our achievements in the last decade give us the confidence to say that we’re well placed to go on to greater heights, and enable our members in all that they do as professionals.
3.We now have over 1,875 active members from all over the world； we run regular technical forums in 13 locations across Australia and New Zealand and host one of the largest technical conferences, EcoForum, focused on contaminated land and groundwater issues.
4.ALGA’s mission is to promote the protection, restoration and management of land and groundwater for the benefit of human health and the broader environment across Australasia.
